There are plenty of camping, glamping, RV, and caravanning options for your laid-back and relaxing weekend away. Let curiosity guide you and embrace the spirit of adventure in one of Australia’s best wetlands, home to 92 bird species. What are you waiting for? Book your tickets and get ready to raise your glass to the magic of St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend.

General Event Information

Explore St Lawrence Wetlands Weekend with your three-day pass. Secure your spot, as some dining experiences and activities require advance booking due to limited spaces.

Immerse yourself in the great outdoors with all the art, food, culture, and environmental activities this family-friendly event has to offer. From wildlife displays to Clydesdale carriage rides, there is something for everyone.

Explore the picturesque wetlands, learn about the environment and birdlife, and be part of regenerating the landscape by planting trees for future generations. Australia’s famous landscape architect, Costa Georgiadis, who has an all-consuming passion for plants and people, will present on a few environmental topics.

Savour local flavours! Try the tasty St Lawrence mud crab or the locally brewed ciders. Join celebrity chef Matt Golinski and renowned pastry chef Glenn Barratt for an exclusive signature local produce luncheon. And that is not all — indulge in an exquisite fine dining experience with Nik Flack and the Flackyard team and the petite baked goods at the Wetlands High Tea Garden Party.

A must-do is the Sunset Cultural Experience. As the sun sets, cultural groups perform songs and dances that highlight the vivid pink and orange sky over the wetlands. Dance the night away with Tamworth Country Music Festival’s Star Maker 2023 winner Loren Ryan and the mesmerising digeridoo talents of multi-instrumental artist Lloyd Saunders from the Whitsundays.

Wetlands Weekends has so much more creative art workshops, explore local market stalls, groove to great music, and witness crab races — a quirky highlight! Capture stunning sunsets and sunrise moments from our viewing platform. And don’t forget to drop a line at the St. Lawrence riverbank during high tide.
